Will I be self-employed?
Yes, all Ginnii drivers are self-employed. Ginnii provides an online platform allowing passengers to book taxi services via the Ginnii Taxi App enabling registered Private Hire Vehicle drivers to accept and complete taxi jobs via the Ginnii Taxi Driver App. All drivers using the app are self-employed and solely responsible for the provision of services. You are free to use the Ginnii Taxi Driver App alongside any other taxi service apps.
What is the percentage of the commission?
Ginnii charges a flat rate of 10% for all completed jobs via the app. All card payments paid by passengers via the app, are subject to a 20p transaction charge which will be deducted from the payment made to drivers.
How will I get paid my fare from the customers?
Customers will pay either on the app or direct to the driver via cash or contactless card payment. Drivers payments are made once a week on Wednesdays after deducting commission and transaction charges.
What hours can I work?
As a self-employed driver, you can choose the hours you want to work. You can log in to Ginnii Taxi Driver App at whatever time suits you. You can also choose to have it running in the background while you are on any other apps.
Do I need to wear a uniform?
No, there are no uniform requirements when accepting jobs from the Ginnii Taxi App but we ask all drivers to be well-dressed and presentable at all times so that passengers get a good impression.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
Yes, you must be at least 21 years of age and have held your driving license for at least 2 years to drive with Ginnii.

What documents will I need to upload?
1. Valid UK Driving license and DVLA check code.
2. Taxi Badge issued by local licensing authority (Both plastic badge and paper license).
3. National Insurance details.
4. Vehicle registration document also known as V5.
5. Current private hire Insurance certificate of the vehicle.
6. MOT Certificate or compliance certificate (some authorities will have their own compliance certificates in place of MOT certificates)
7. Private hire vehicle license.
8. Permission letter from the owner of the vehicle if you are not the registered vehicle owner.
